Man... the upcoming SOC God Marz looks like a must get for me. I'll just let the picture leaked on the 'net to do all the talking.

In Gunpla news, besides the ever enticing Gundam 00 kits (enticing since I'm following the anime. I'm such a slut), this little kit is coming up in January. The description itself doesn't really explain what the kit is. I mean, come on... 'Cover kit for HGUC GM Quel'? If you looked at the picture though, it's clear it's supposed to be a kit to improve the somewhat bulky HGUC interpretation of the GM Quel. And I must say, it is a huge improvement. The HGUC version seems much more bulky than neccessary, especially the knees. If it weren't for the fact that I already have the really nice B-Club GM Quel (a recast I might add), I think this new release would have been my 2nd non-recast resin kit. Heh.

Well, it's BAKUC season again. This is the time when most Asian countries hold Gundam model competitions as sponsored by Bandai and their local distributors. In Singapore, that would be Sheng Tai Toys. This year, it is once again held at Ngee Ann City. I obviously, can't join again because I'm no longer in Singapore. I'm in Indonesia.

| It's been a while heh. I always get bogged down in the sanding process but anyhow, finding some spare ball joints in my GM Quel resin kit spurred me to fix the one glaring problem with this project: the broken neck.
The original fix (August 30 entry) I did worked somewhat. The head would fit OK but it can't tilt nor turn. With the ball joint, it would get back its mobility. For the head, I used a chisel to carefully and slowly scrape of plastic to make space for the female part of the ball joint. Then a healthy amount of super glue is used to fix it in place. Then I drilled a hole in the torso to fit the male part of the ball joint. It's also fixed into place by super glue.

So here are the final pics of MG #102, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam from the novel series Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn ( Wikipedia entry).
This is clearly not an anime-style design since well, the colors are so plain. As we all know, the original Gundam was painted in gaudy colors because the producers wanted something colorful to attract viewers. The Unicorn Gundam clearly is not one of them.
While the end product is nice enough, I'm also wondering how much variants modelers can come up with for this design. I'm not that good a modeler so as I'm staring at the following images, I can't really think of any interesting variant... I'm sure, however, that some of the masters out there will pleasantly surprise me. In the meantime, I'm pretty much able to resist getting this one. Hehe...

Pics of SOC Godmars has surfaced. Although just prototypes, I think it's pretty much how the final toy would look like and by the looks of things, this is going to be one sweet bugger!
Toys like this always makes me wonder how to best display it. In its component parts? Or combine them into one giant robot? The obvious solution is to buy two sets to diaplay both modes. HAHAHA. Right...
