| After a long suspension of work, I now finally can add a new completed work into the site! I present my RGM-79 GM. The photos aren't the best quality but for now, I don't have a proper photobooth. I'll put up better pics when I can. In the meantime, any comments are welcome!

| I am finally onto the decal stages for this one. Although there are still some parts to fix, I decided to decal the ones that are all set.

I don't really like to add too many decals to my kits. For one thing, it's distracting to the overall lines of the kit, and for another, I'm a lazy bum who doesn't like to deal with too many of them.
Because access to Gunze gloss coat is hard here, I decided to popby Ace Hardware to see whether there was an alternative. I found Krylon Preserve it! which was used for paper and photographs. Checking out the label, it says it would work for plastics so what the heck, I decided to try it.
And it actually works better than Gunze gloss! It's cheaper too by the can! It dries into a very smooth and slippery glossy sheen which I couldn't achieve with the Gunze-branded one. Nice. |

Given a long enough time to stare at the pose I decided on, I realize that the epoxy puttied leg joint was in fact, quite obvious. Couldn't well leave it alone, I figured I better fix it than to live with it and have the matter annoy me for the rest of the kit's life on my display case.
The epoxy putty part was a simple matter of slapping on some plaplate over it to cover the rough texture. I then fashioned a set of pistons (non-working) using plastic rod and plaplate. Then it's just a simple matter of fixing the piston into place to achieve the final pose.
Check out the picturesbelow for a 'before' and 'after' look.

| This site has been tested on Firefox 2.0 and Internet Explorer 7.0. It's compatible on both Windows and Mac OS-X platforms. This is an image intensive site so it's gonna be really slow for narrowband
users. Just in case you're wondering, this site is coded from scratch.
