What's an 'Aggressor'
Here's a very good explanation from Wikipedia.
An aggressor squadron is an aircraft squadron that is trained to act as an opposing force in military wargames. Aggressor squadrons use enemy tactics, techniques, and procedures to give a realistic simulation of air combat (as opposed to training against one's own forces). Aggressor squadrons were first created in the late 1970s by both the United States Navy and Air Force in an effort to better train American pilots after a perceived drop in effectiveness during the Vietnam War.

What is a groupbuild?
A group build is an opportunity for modelers with similar interests to get together and build models of the same (or similar) subject. In this particular case, we're building 1/48 scale aircraft kits that serve as 'Aggressor' units for the US armed forces.

Why are you doing this?
For one thing, it's something that will push us to finish up a model kit :) Secondly, it'll be fun to see a whole table full of Aggressor aircraft.

Who can join the groupbuild?
Anyone. The only rule is that you have to build a 1/48 scale aircraft that has been used as an 'Aggressor' unit.

So is this a contest?
Not in the strictest sense. Each modeler will be given 3 points to award to whichever model he likes, subjected to these simple rules:

› You can't vote for your own entry
› You can divide up your 3 points as you see fit

What does the winner get?
The winner gets a massage. Nah... the winner will get a meal (of reasonable price) paid for by the 'losers'. So you see, since everyone will be eating, no one's technically a loser. The only difference is that ONE of us won't be paying.
